Fed: Thousands gather for Canberra s Anzac Day march
CANBERRA, April 25 AAP - Crowds were building at the War Memorial in Canberra in preparation
for one of the largest Anzac Day parades ever held in the national capital.
Record numbers attended this morning's Dawn Service.
Prime Minister John Howard was to present a commemorative address as members of the
famous Rats of Tobruk celebrated their 60th anniversary.
World War One veteran and centenarian Charlie Mance also was expected to attend the
march, along with two of Australia's surviving Victoria Cross recipients.
